Netscape 7.1 crashes after loading ser pk 1

I have reinstalled the service pack a couple of times.
I wasn't sure what the problem was until I backed off
the updates and installed them one at a time. Something
in service pack 1 is not compatible with Netscape 7.1. I
don't think it is a Netscape problem.

Netscape is the problem. It's a third party application and not included
with Windows XP.

Ignore all those MS only advisers.
I use 7.1 without problem.
I suggest you remove NS and then re-install it.

I guess I need to clarify -- Netscape 7.1 works perfectly
until I install MICROSOFT Service Pack 1 that updates
MICROSOFT Windows XP. I still feel that this is a problem
with MICROSOFT's update and not Netscape.

I use XPPro with 7.1 and haven't seen this problem.

Did you try uninstalling 7.1 and re-installing. It's ok to do it this
way as it won't delete your profiles, but a good idea to back them up first.
