Hi,
I have a one 64 bit and one 32 bit Vista Business PC that are currently
registered and conntected to my companies domain.
My Server is a Windows Server 2003 DNS Domain controller and we work on a
pool of IP addresses.
After a period of time or at log on the PC does not always connect to the
network and you have to reconfigure the TCP/IP settings for the Local Area
Connection.
I have noticed that when the PC has been disconnected from the network the
"Client of Microsoft network properties" has to be set to "Windows Locator"
for some reason this setting is never saved. I also have to manually issue
the PC with an IP address otherwise it will not find the DNS Server.
Is there a workaround that I can use or a patch that will resolve this
problem as It gets very frustrating where I have to keep on configuring my
network connection.
Many Thanks
Gordon
