Network Drives inaccessible

Posted: 10-10-2003, 04:06 AM
I have a simple LAN Setup from one PC to another via a
Hub. I.P's are fixed 192.168.0.X. Resources are using
Simple File Sharing - I'll move to per User/Password
shares after I figure out the problem. Both PC's can ping
on I.P and Network Computer name (\\<name> and
\\192.168.0.X). I can see the shares on the remote PC no
problem but when I click on a share on Sithlord it just
hangs. I go to SITHLORD and click on BLADERNR's share. I
checked the event logger and this is what it's telling me:

The master browser has received a server announcement
from the computer SITHLORD that believes that it is the
master browser for the domain on transport NetBT_Tcpip_
{BD7F30AB-C149-442A-. The master browser is stopping or
an election is being forced.

How do I dictate who is the 'Master Browser' - it looks
like both PC's think they are 'Master'. How do I change
this behavior?

Regards
