network printer connection problems

Posted: 11-12-2003, 05:19 PM
I have 3 printers connect to a network, HP 750c designjet,
Hp 4100 laserjet, and an HP 2000c. the designjet and the
laserjet have built in cards so that they can plug directly
to the network hub. The 2000c is connected to a printer
port which is connected to the hub. I have installed all
printers properly and i can even print a test page. seems
that when i restart the computer, that i cant print
anymore. I get a message that says printer offline. I
have tried pinging the 3 printers but it does not detect
them now. I have noticed that XP doesnt like to
automatically reconnect to network computers and printers.
is there some setting i can change to make it reconnect to
the printers when i restart. I have done everything i know
to do and i still cant figure this out.
