HP LJ 4060 and JetDirect server on a peer-to-peer net.
Been running for several months.
Peers are all WinXP SP2 save one old WinME klunker.
Site had a brief power outage this week. UPS protected all
workstations but the printers were not on UPS.
After outage is over all workstations are running. But ONE printer
will not print. No error messages; just won't print. Printer is
being spooled by one WinXP PC.
Tried recycling JetDirect to no avail.
Finally rebooted the spooling PC.
All printers now work properly.
Looks like spooler service needed restarting. Can't be sure as I
wasn't there and had to talk on-site personnel through the problem.
But shouldn't the spooler service recover from a temporarily downed
printer?
Curious....
