Installed Vista... works great, only one problem... I used to be able to
connect to the internet... now it will only let me connect to my home
network... not the internet... what do I do?

Thanks in advance,

Try opening your XP style network settings for an easier look around -

Check that IPv6 and all the irrelevant protocols aren't checked, and make
sure the IPv4 settings are correct, including the DNS entries. Are you on a
workgroup or a domain?

I'm on a workgroup... It it supposed to be set up automatically (as in
obtaining the ip address, and the dns & DHCP servers...) So I have no
clue as to what has happened.

I have a local network set up at home I have now setup vista RC1 on a second
Pc
everything works well and both pc's can be seen on the network
However when trying to browse the contents on the other pc's it asks for a
password how can I disable this so that the pc's can be freely accessed from
eachother ?
neither of the pc's have a logon password and I don't want to assign a logon
password for then
I just want to freely have network access from one to the other

Is the Vista in the same workgroup as the other PC's? Also, make sure the
following are turned on under Network and Sharing Center:
Network discovery
File sharing
Public folder sharing
Password protected sharing
