I have just installed Windows Vista Home Premium on my computer (dual boot
with XP Home) and have almost everything working. The exception is my home
network (internet connection is fine). My Vista and XP machines do not see
each other (they do when both booted to XP). I have double checked to make
sure the workgroup names are the same. I have installed the LLTD Responder
on the XP machine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe this will help:

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/net.../vista_fp.mspx

for other PC's

correctly

My solution was shutting off my Norton Firewall!!! A friend of mine with
Vista had to shut off his firewall as well! Worth a shot!

I have tried all suggestions made in this thread and still no luck. Could I
be looking in the wrong direction?

Will,

With one way visibility and access, chances are good that you have a personal
firewall problem.

http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2005/0...ther-help.html

It would help us a bit to know what edition of Vista and XP do you have, and
what settings are you using? Windows XP might be XP Home, XP Pro with Simple
File Sharing, XP Pro with Advanced File Sharing and Guest only access, or XP Pro
with non-Guest access. Windows Vista might be using Password Protected Sharing
disabled, or enabled. These are important settings.

You also need to be aware of specific challenges in Windows Vista.
