Network setting can not being change to Private

My some unknown reason my network setting changed to Public a few days ago
and I can not change it back. After I reboot it goes back to being Public and
I can't connect to the Internet.

Is this a wireless connection? If so, invoke security (wpa, wpa2).
This will allow it to be a private network.
