I am trying to setup my network. Since installing Vista I have been unable to
setup a network that includes the machine running Vista.
There are 4 machines in the network. 3 desktops and 1 laptop. the laptop and
2 desktops run XP Home and can find each other on the network none of them
can find the Vista machine nor can they be found by it.
My network equipment is as follows. Belkin F5D7633 modem Router 2 F5D7000
wireless cards and an intel card in the laptop. Prior to installing Vista
this machine used a Belkin F5D7001 wireless card but now has to be hard wired
into the router.
I have tried mapping the network but the only machine that shows up is the
vista machine. I would appreciate any help as I am seriously considering
going back to XP as it was so much easier to set up the network.
This is something that Microsoft are going to have to make easier as more
and more people are starting to network their computers at home. Apart from
this problem Vista runs fine and is stable and I do like it.
Thanks in advance
