Network Share Error Message

Posted: 01-09-2008, 08:43 PM
I'm setting up my first Vista client on our Windows 2003 standard server
domain. When I shared the c drive, I got the below error, yet Vista did
create the share. I should mention that I abbreviated the error below.

It actually showed more folders that the "boot" folder, but I thought this
would be enough for the example.

The domain user account I'm using has full admin rights in AD. Can someone
shed some light on this behavior? Is this error normal and something new in
the way Vista creates shared folders?

ERROR:

error applying security

an error occurred while applying security information to:
c:\boot

access is denied
