Network speed

I have onboard gigabit ethernet controller.

On XP, the link speed is recognized as 100 Mbps.

On Vista, it is shown as 1 Gbps.

Any idea why it is showing on Vista that way?

Not without knowing what specific controller you are talking about.

Yes...because it is a Gigabit controller and the driver isn't exactly
working properly so it shows the max speed rather than the connect
speed.
