Networking Problem

I have a home network set up in our house. My computer has Vista while the
other two have XP. Whenever I try to add or change anything in my Public
folder on either of the XP machines, I get told that I can't and the access
is denied. I want to be allowed to add and change files on the Public
folder from the XP machines. How can I accomplish this? Thanks.

Travis,

I have this working OK on my home network. Make sure that you have enabled
access appropriately for the Public folder on your Vista system. There is a
good explanation in Vista's help. Here is a portion that might be helpful:

To control access to the Public folder
Click the Start button, click Documents, click the arrow next to Folders at
the bottom of the Navigation pane, and then click Public.
On the toolbar, click Sharing Settings, and then click one of the three
options for allowing access to your Public folder.

Save your new settings and give it a few minutes to propogate before trying
to access from your XP systems.

I am having a similar problem too. I have a computer with is still running
Windows 98 and I cannot connect to the network printer on the main computer
(install Vista on) I was able to connect my notebook computer (running
Windows XP Pro) and it work fine. Is there something I am doing wrong or
missed?
