Networking Two XP's

Posted: 09-16-2003, 05:00 PM
I am looking for some help in networking my two XP's Home
Edition. I have had them networked in the past. They both
get their addresses dynamically from my router and have
access to the internet and can see each other. Both C.
drives are shared etc. And there is one account I can
access from one station other than the "User's" account.
Say on "Box", I can only access Documents and Settings>
Users account, and no other accounts. Then on "Boss" I
can access "Users" accounts plus one User account, so on
both stations I can access up to Documents and Settings>
User Accounts but I can't get them to share their
individual User accounts, Message always being Access
denied on permissions basis, Lack thereof . They are both
on, Client for Microsoft Networks, File and printer
sharing for Microsoft networks. Any ideas, I would
appreciate any input in this matter as I am growing tired
from going from station to station.

Thanks,

Darnko

do you have simple file sharing enabled? if yes, try to disable and re-share
them.
