networking with windows xp home

Posted: 09-23-2003, 02:33 AM
I'm trying to network a Windows XP Home computer with one
running Windows 2000. Is this possible? For some reason,
even though they are showing compatible IP addresses (same
subnet, etc...) they cannot see eachother.
Thanks for any help,
Dei

Hi,

Yes it is possible. What do you mean when you say they cannot "see" each
other? Can you ping from one to the other by IP? By hostname? What happens
when you try to access shares?

Thanks,
