"new folder" doesn't show until F5 is pressed?

Posted: 02-27-2009, 03:04 PM

I'm finding some strange behavior in windows explorer. If I have
folder open in Details view, right click in the main pane and select Ne
> Folder, a new folder gets created but does not appear in the explore
window yet. I have to press F5 to refresh the page for it to show up.
In XP doing this would not only show the new folder immediately but pu
the name in edit mode so I can type its new name conveniently.

Is there a way to make explorer react to the new directory (ie, no
need to press F5)
