new Hard disk only seen as network disk

Posted: 09-04-2004, 02:39 AM
This sounds like it should be an easy fix but it is driving me nutz. I just
installed a new SATA drive with a PCI to SATA adapter. The Windows
recognizes the new drive and allows me to do everything I want to as far as
changing and transfering files, but on MY COMPUTER it lists it as a network
drive rather than a drive in the computer, and it will not let me modify the
drive with the properties choice (right click) because it is a netword
drive. How can I get the OP system to see it as a native drive? Info:
Computer Motherboard is MSI KN8 NEO. Processor is AMD 64 3200+, Drive is
Seagate 160 GBm and adapter is Adaptec SATA controler 1250SA.
