Newly added printer will not stay as default

printer.
Every time I turn the computer off or sign out, the default printer changes
back to the old one. I have XP home and am doing it under the adminstrator
sign in. We are using three seperate users on the one computer, each with a
seperate sign-in name. It happens to all three. I really do not want to
deleat the old print driver as we might plug it back it and use it.
Help.
