newly installed xp

after installation, the hard drive was labbled "G" some
programs will not run because its looking for C drive, xp
will not allow me to change this, how can i relable my
hard drive? thanks jim

This is caused by removeable disks being present and detected by the
installer as hard disk.

See http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=326683 which recommends using the
Disk Manager utility to relabel disks. If that doesn't work, remove the
removeable disks and do a repair install on XP.
