nForce Drivers and SATA/300 NCQ

Posted: 05-13-2007, 08:19 PM

Just a quick note to mention I solved several of my Vista problems i
one fell swoop.

Symptoms
1) "Welcome" sound stuttere
2) Video driver would crash and restart as soon as I logged i
3) System would sometimes hang on restart and shutdow

Solution
Open Device Mangler, open properties for the nForce SATA storag
controller, click port 0 tab and DISABLE Native Command Queuin

Maybe the next version of the driver will properly support thi
feature. It's the main reasons I went with SATA/300 actually.

NCQ works fine under Fedora Core 6 BTW.
