No advanced tab in XP Pro Lan Properties

Posted: 07-16-2003, 06:25 PM
I have 2 pc's networked (both with Windows XP Pro) I am trying to disable
the xp firewall, but when I go to the network LAN properties screen, I only
get a general and authentication tab, no advanced. This is more than I get
in the second pc, when I attempt to access network connections, there is no
network to choose.

I am running a lynksys router with ZA Pro. I am able to share files and map
drives between both machines. Any help would be appreciated....

Are you logged on with an account with administrator rights? If not then
you will not see the advanced tab. You would also get a pop-up error msg
which states "Some of the controls on this property sheet are disabled
because you do not have sufficient priviledges to access or change them." if
this is the case.
