no audio from one website

Posted: 01-24-2009, 06:19 PM
I get streaming video with audio on all websites I have tried
(youtube, for example.) But from a single site (websurg.com) I get
only the video. Audio is silent. It worked in the past, but no longer,
and I haven't made any obvious changes in my system. From that site, I
get no audio with either Firefox or IE. From another computer in my
home, it works fine, so it's something in the particular system I'm
using.
I've reinstalled the sound drivers, WMP, real alternative, Adobe
Flash, plus checked the plugins in Firefox.
I'm baffled. If anyone has a clue, I'd really appreciate some help.

Did you click on "HELP" at the top and have it scan your computer to
see if you have all the basic requirements??

Rob,
Yes, their technical assistance program runs a check for WMP,
Realplayer, Adobe Flash, etc. They report I have all the requirements.
I've reported it to their technical assistance person. Preliminary
answer is that they are mystified too.

It seems so strange to abruptly lose audio just for one website.
I appreciate your input.
