No gamepad will function

I installed a USB joystick (the dual action "PS2 type").
After 20 min. of gameplay the joystick didn't respond, or
it stuck in one direction. I exchanged the stick, and the
same thing happened with the newer one. It seems that
somthing is causing my game controllers to loose
calibration constantly. I have the latest drivers, and can
find no conflicts. I downloaded joystick callibration
tools, but its only a temp fix.....So, whats causing my
joysticks to only work for a short time? Same problem on
all USB joystick brands I have.

No gamepad will function

Jeff,

I know very little about joysticks. I do have a MS
SideWinder Plug and Play GamePad. At first I went through
the calibration but it stuck to one side on me. So I
removed to whole thing and started over. The next time I
just let XP install the drivers and I didn't calibrate it
at all. It has been working ever since. It is USB.

Maybe a uninstall and reinstall?
