no icons, no sound not very responsive

Default no icons, no sound not very responsive

i can bootup but have no sound. the booting process is
slow and when post is done cannot see icons.

Can you access any of your programs using the start menu? Can you access
your antivirus program, if yes, the first thing to do would be to run a
virus scan. Make sure your antivirus software is up to date before running
the scan.
