OK--
Somewhat of a long story, but I'll try and give you the condensed version.
I have a Windows Vista Ultimate desktop machine and a Windows Vista Business
laptop, as well as a Windows XP Laptop.
What has started happening is this -- after a few days of the Vista
Ultimate Desktop being online, it will start refusing connections from both
the XP and Vista laptops, claiming "No more connections can be made to this
remote computer at this time". At this point, I can RDP into the machine (or
walk into the other room) and open up the Computer Management MMC and then
open the Network Shares and expand Sessions and see that my Vista Laptop has
11 open sessions with the machine, with open files ranging from 0 to 3 to
-2059964384. If I right-click on the session and say 'Close Session', I get
an error saying Windows is unable to terminate the session because: "Error 2:
The system cannot find the file specified.".
I've troubleshot this forever! I have no idea. I'm very curious as to
why only my Vista Business laptop seems to be spawning these rogue sessions
that cannot be closed, and not my Windows XP SP2 laptop (or my S.O.'s Windows
XP SP2 laptop either, for that matter).
The desktop connects to my router via a cable, and my laptops connect to
the same router via wireless. This used to work with no problems when both
Vista machines were running XP, and since the hardware hasn't changed since
then, I'm thinking it's Vista related.

Bump--
No solution yet, grabbed the latest nForce drivers for my desktop and
updated the NIC drivers to Vista spec WHQL specc'd drivers, no change.
Updated drivers on the Vista Business laptop for the integrated Broadcom
wireless in that unit. Also switched between both of the onboard NICs for my
desktop machine, still causes the problem.
The Vista Business laptop is the only machine that spawns these errant
sessions that are unclosable, so I'm thinking the problem is likely caused by
the Vista Business laptop, rather than something on the desktop -- but I
still have no idea. As it's Vista Business, it's not running the Media
Center Extender services, and I've disabled them as well on the desktop
machine as I don't run any Media Center Extender capable devices, so I didn't
want the overhead.
Any ideas at all? Anything to check? Anything to try? I've all but
exhausted everything I can think of. I'm starting to wish I was an MCP with
Vista Certs and not with Server 2003 .

Having the exact same problem in Vista32. Any solutions to this yet?

I really hate to say this, but I found a solution. It's just not one that I
liked or you're gonna like.

I got so goram tired of dealing with it that I wiped the laptop and
installed Vista Ultimate x64. Been a while since and it's been fixed.

Proof positive it was the laptop's fault though -- once I wiped and
reinstalled it, the problem was solved on the desktop machine. I had been
troubleshooting the wrong thing.

Anyways, not really the most hopeful of responses, but definitely how I
ended up fixing it.
