| I got to work today and plugged in the CAT5 like always, but no network was detected, intranet or internet. So, I tried another cable & connection, and still nothing. I tried to renew my IPs, and got a message something like "the connection you are trying to renew is not a socket." I've checked all the settings, and nothing has changed since yesterday when I used it last. One interesting thing is that when I attach a peripheral device (USB mouse, USB mass storage drive, etc) or open windows explorer, an IE window will pop up trying to find some strange www.<strangesite>.org with some gibberish after it. I ran a virus scanner and a spywear scanner with no results. This may just be a different issue, but I suspect that it isn't. It seems like something is inhibiting incoming network traffic (my firewall is disabled, so that's not it). Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be? Thanks, Matt | Guest
