No Sound...

I have xp Multi Media version 2004 5.1

I have sound on the TV mode, but when I select to play a CD I see the
counter that indicates it's playing but no sound...I checked the sound panel
nothing is muted, all are volumed up, I even have checked all of the settings
in the control panel..

Does anyone know why this feature has stoped working?

PS
The only thing new on the computer since this started happening, is a new
Logitech Camera with Microphone, but I think I have checked all of the
settings and can't find anything wrong associated with this.
