No sound coming from my external speakers and headphones despite following steps from trouble shoot.

I think I somehow lost my old default sound system? I have a matrix vpr 200A5 laptop. It comes with Sonopur Digital Audio System using advanced 24/192 digital upsampling. But Recently sound disappeared from my Windows Media Player and then I got it back but I'm using Ali Audio Accelerator WDM Driver. I have no idea if this was always here and is used in partnership with Sonopur or if it is new. It is the default but I have no other system. Also, I can't seem to find any thing with Sonopur written in the title. Did it get deleted? Is it possible to delete it? If it came with the computer isn't it a hardware and can't be deleted? As you can tell, I"m pretty illertate with computers. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

If everything in the sound system looks like it's working OK are you sure
the sound isn't muted. Look in control panel at "sound and audio devices"
check the device volume is up and the mute box isn't ticked, being a laptop
there is often a volume wheel around the outer edge make sure it's not
turned down.
