no sounds coming from headphones..please help me asap

hi honeybunch,

I am sorry, but you are saying you cannot REBOOT the computer? are you
running a server or what? If you happen to have Server OS in your machine
then you need to enable the service.

By the way, does the sound come out when you are not using the headphone? it
could be just a driver problem.

Can you hear any sounds without headphones? (first step is to find out
whether the problem is in your ears, or in the headphones) If you can, then
take the headphones to a Radio Shack, or a friends house, and try them on
some other piece of equipment.....You might be able to get some scratching
noises out of them with a battery, or with a multimeter.....If you know a
mechanic, he/she can probably check this out.....
