No thumbnails at all

shown the icon of the media player and no matter what I do
I cannot get them to show a screenshot as the thumbnail.
It is now really starting to get on my nerves, I have
fiddled with this and that, done everything I can think of
and nothing, I have searched all over the net with no
avail. Can somebody please help me display them the way
they used too?
