No video after Vista install

motherboard, 1GB RAM, and an nVIDIA GeForce 6600 256MB video card. I have
seen in several threads that people have had issues with ASUS A8 logic boards
and Windows Vista, but my situation is a little unique.
I run an Apple 23" Cinema HD display with DVI to my GeForce 6600 video card
and all is well on installation until reboot. The system boots to the initial
loading screen "Windows 2006" with the moving grey lines, then the video
blacks out completely and sometimes my monitor just doesn't get a signal at
all. I can boot to Safe Mode but even after installing the nVIDIA x86 drivers
for Vista I get no video when booting to Vista in normal mode. It's like it
doesn't want to acknowlege my video card or it does not like my Apple 23"
LCD. Any suggestions would be helpful. I have tried installing both the
32-bit and 64-bit Vista but I got further with the 32-bit and will probably
stick with that if I can get my video to work.
