Not able to recieve or send fax using cell phone as modem

Posted: 10-07-2003, 03:33 AM
Just recently I set up my laptop with my cell phone, so
while I am on the road I can have access to the
internet. I attempted to recieve and send faxes. The
fax would connect properly and everything. When i went
to open the fax there was no preview, and the status bar
only showed that a partial fax had come through. As for
sending, i could not even get the cell to connect. I
always came up with a call failed message. I am using an
i60 nextel by the way. So what i was wondering is if
there is a driver that i need or do I not have the fax
configured correctly. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you,

Jim

Yes, if you're trying to use Windows XP Fax. Computer based fax software is
designed only for analog fax modems.
