Not able to transfer files when logged in as administrator

I was setting up my new laptop last night and was trying to transfer my
iTunes from my old computer to my new one. At one point, per the directions,
I had to move the iTunes folder to the desktop. When I tried doing this, I
kept getting an error message that said that I couldn't do it because I
needed administrator permission to do so, even though I was already logged in
as the administrator. Does anybody know how I can fix this so that I can be
able to finish setting up my iTunes?

If you have a USB flash drive you can copy your i tunes folder to it then
take the flash drive out and install it in the new computer and copy the
itunes folder to the desktop of the new computer.
