Nvidia driver install problems

Posted: 09-17-2003, 12:46 AM
I am trying to install an Albatron FX 5200 PE video card
on my PC. I am running WinXP Pro SP1. When it tries to
install the drivers, I get an error stating -

"Cannot install hardware.
An error occurred during the installation of the device.
The Data is invalid."

I have tried drivers from the CD that came with the card,
from Nvidia (45.23_win2kxp_english_whql.exe ) and from the
card manufacturer (45.23_win2kxp_international_whql.exe).
I have also tried Windows Update and that also will not
install the drivers (don't have the error with me at the
moment).

I then found a fix suggested in
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-
us;810882 but the problem reoccurs.

I can install my old card and everything runs fine. Any
suggestions greatly appreciated.

Colin
