Default RE: Offline files working very slowly

Hello there,

we have setup Offline files via Group Policy .... although have run into a
major issue for us.

This has been deployed to laptops only through an OU, but, when the laptops
are offline, it is extremely slow to access files from the offline cache.
Admittedly the users have most likely been saving over 1-2GB of data within
a single share (home directory), but their compalints results saying that it
cvan sometimes take up 3/4 mins to open a reasonably sized file when in
offline mode.

Does anyone know how this can be rectified / tuned. Or is there some
operational procedure I've missed as to why the offline cache is so slow.

Regards,

Chris

Are they connected to any sort of network (not necessarily your LAN)
when this happens? It could be that your clients are trying to go
back online and basically timeout before going to the offline cache...
