Old style logon screen

Posted: 11-27-2006, 12:36 PM
How can I change the Vista logon screen back to the old Windows style, i.e.,
manually entering logon name and password into text boxes? I don't wan to
show the user names (buttons) on the screen.

TIA

Hello,

- Click Start
- Click Control Panel
- Click System and Maintenance
- Click Administrative Tools
- Double-Click Local Security Policy
- In the left pane, click the triangle next to Local Policy
- In the left pane, click Security Options
- In the right pane, double-click "Interactive logon: Do not display last
user name"
- Click Enabled and then OK

GAG! Don't you think we're getting enough Rachael Ray as it is! I
tripped over her at the pharmacy last week before I realized they had stand
up posters of her all over the store.
