One app changes defaults in printer

Posted: 05-25-2005, 03:41 PM
Win XP Pro SP2, MS Office 2003, one computer connected by USB to
Brother 5150 series.

The printer preferences are set to duplex (two-sided) printing.
Every single application honors this, except MS Access. There if I
Preview Report and click the little printer icon, I get single-sided
printing. However, if I select File...Print and immediately click
OK, I get normal two-sided printing.

Somehow in Access the "print with default printer" icon uses altered
settings. How can I make it use the same default settings that I set
in Control Panel? (Note: this is Access only; both Word and Excel do
print two-sided if I click the little printer icon.)
