One Care 1.5 Install error

Posted: 10-11-2006, 05:43 AM
I get the following error when installing the Live OneCare 1.5 Beta:

"There is currently a pending reboot. You must reboot and then start the
installation."

"Error ID: 0008-80004005"

Searching on this error ID yeild no hits. I have rebooted many times, yet
OneCare still thinks there is a pending reboot. Any ideas on how to correct
this situation?

Thanks!

Same exact problem here and I removed the Trend Micro PCIllin program that I
was using as a stop gap measure since upgrading to RC1 from XP Pro a few
weeks ago and losing WOC so now I have no firewall or anti-virus protection
and Windows Defender also stopped working when I did this. I hope they find
an answer to why this error is happening.
