opening files or folders

Can someone please help, when I try to access a file such as local settings
or my documents, I get an access denied message, Is there a way to get into
these folders. Thanks for any help.

Those locations are not real locations; they are junctions - virtual
locations only there for backwards compatibility with older programs that
expect those locations to exist. You can't get there from here. ;-)

Your user folders are in C:\Users\your-username\Documents [Downloads,
Pictures, Music, etc.].
