Default opening ports

im trying to connect my playstation to the internet and it doesn't seem to be
working, i looked it up on the website and it says this:

If you are unable to connect to the PlayStation Network you may need to open
some ports on your router or modem. A 'port' is a type of connection that can
be used by programs and computers to exchange data.

The most common of these are TCP and UDP ports which are used to exchange
data between computers and the Internet.

In order to use some games and features on PlayStation Network the following
ports should be opened:

TCP: 80, 443, 5223, and Port Range 10070 - 10080

UDP: 3478, 3479, 3658, and 10070

this means nothing to me, can anyone please tell me what to do.

Default Re: opening ports

What you need to do is consult the manual for the device you plug you
PlayStation into to gain internet access. This could be either a router and
or modem. If you need further information you will need to provide more
details about the name and model of the router and or modem you are using.
