| Hi, From Help, click Detect and Repair. Or, insert your MSOffice disk and run setup, one of the options is to repair the existing installation. -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Windows help - www.rickrogers.org "JDR" <jd.r@ntlworld.com> wrote in message news:0FA5E04A-7E3D-4795-B0BE-D96BB6F3AB37@microsoft.com... re-installed? What steps have you taken? What version of Outlook? Have you already run the "Microsoft Office Diagnostics" tool? Was Outlook working and then stopped working? Did you upgrade from XP to Vista or do a clean install? If you upgraded, was Outlook previously installed or did you install Outlook after the upgrade? -- Mark My favourite so far: Unknown device has been correctly installed. | Guest

Mark, thanks for asking. I have upgraded from WinXP Pro to Vista, having already installed Office Professional Plus 2007 Beta 2. The message always was the same more or lest like this: "the Outlook faced an error and must be reinstalled." I inserted the CD with the MS Office Professional, but it should be MS Office Professional Plus 2007 Beta 2. Only then I was close to the solution. However I went for a repair of Outlook and it took long time ( 17 minutes) but eventually it worked almost perfect. As under Win XP Pro used to work...- )I am quite happy now, but still my Vista is very slow. I suspect that there is a problem with Via display drivers. There is Via Beta driver but facing the question; Are you sure ... I hesitate to proceed, considering that Vista is telling me that "existing MS driver is working properly." For the time I'd rather wait and see what will come next..- ![]() Thanks - and regards - JD R | Guest
