Overclocking makes computer run slower

Posted: 07-10-2008, 04:02 AM

I have an E6750 OCed to 3.8 with a (in cpu-z) 1.408 vcore (can't
remember what it is in bios... something like 1.4625??) and after i go
above 3.6 my system actually goes slower... I have a Tuniq Tower 120 LFB
(LFB just means it has blue lights) so heat isn't a problem. Also is a
1.9GHz FSB dangerous?? I have a GA-P35-DS3 with the stock heatsink on SB
and NB but it think top temp for NB is like 40C. This is all in an Antec
900.

Any suggestions would be helpful
