overheating fix for cheap

time I had lint all over the heat sink fan,just ALL
over.I live by a lot of industry in the north-east.I've
cut a piece of new quility furnace filter and duct taped
it to the fresh air intake,also put 20 inch box fan with
filter(at first with tape,then fixed with steel L
brackets to hold filter in place)placed on low near my
computer station.Now I have to do a LOT less dusting.And
once a month I shop vac clean the one on the back of the
computer to keep it clean.I can't afford to replace a
$300 P-4 again for heat.So when you start having trouble
with your computer,look for lint first.Just my two
cents,and my inexpensive fix.
(My wife calls me Oliver,I just call her Lisa),got to
climb my pole to answer my phone....If you don't
understand,your too young!
