You can only have Parental Controls active on Standard user accounts.
You would never want to have only a Standard User account on the system.
For safety's sake, you should create at least two user accounts with
Administrative privileges - one to do administrative tasks such as
controlling the Parental Controls on Standard user accounts for example
and one for emergencies in case of account corruption and the like.

If you want a more specific answer, then please explain your situation
and what you would ideally like to do, bearing in mind that you need
multiple accounts. There is no reason *not* to have multiple accounts
btw - if you want to automatically boot into one particular user account
(go directly to its Desktop) without seeing the Welcome Screen, that is
easily done the same way it was in XP:

Configure Windows to Automatically Login (MVP Ramesh) -

I installed a game within administrator login. Under parental control access
for a standard user i restricted him from playing any games. But when try to
launch that games within the standard user login I am still able to play the
game. I am only able to block the game when i add it to the block application
list under parental control. the name of the game is Sammysetup14 "

Hi Naru,

You have got the correct principal here, but you need to apply it the other
way round. What you need to do is to block everything and then only allow the
things that you want. This option can be found in the control panel under
'User Accounts and Family Safety', 'Parental Controls', 'Allow and block
specific programs', '"Name" can only use the programs I allow'.
