password protected files

There is a pc on our network that has win XP PRO. I sweep
the network neiborhood from time to time to see if anyone
has unprotected files. I found two on this pc. On win 98
you can password protect the files. What do you do with
win Xp. We want only certain people to have access to
these files, but only these files. Others should have no
access whatsoever.

Any help will be appreciated.

how can I make a folder unreachable for other users?
can I use some sort of password?

If the drive it is on is formatted for NTFS, then you can use NTFS
permissions to only grant access to those users you wish to.
