| Every time I open my Windows or MSN messenger, I just need to click on the "sign in" next to my hotmail address and I'm in without having to type my password. How can I make it prompt for a password every time? I went into the Tools, Options, and clear every check boxes under the "General" tab. I un-installed MSN messenger, cleared all cookies and re-installed it and same thing - it shows "Sign in" near my hotmail address (where did it get that?). If I click it, I'm in without typing any password. Please help. | Guest

| Greetings Clifford, To remove your saved Passport, click the Start Button, then click the Control Panel. Then, click User Accounts in the Control Panel. Select your account name, and then on the left side of the screen, under Related Tasks, click 'Manage my Network Passwords'. In the window that opens, click the Passport.Net\* (Passport) entry and click 'Remove'. ____________________________________________ Jonathan Kay Microsoft MVP - Windows Messenger/MSN Messenger Associate Expert http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/ Messenger Resources - http://messenger.jonathankay.com "clifford law" <anonymous@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:096201c3b557$96b4f650$a001280a@phx.gbl... | The password on my computer has somehow gotten changed. The password on the msn server and my passport account are just fine. I just need to change the password in Windows but I can't find out where or how to change it. Each time I startup msn messenger it says my password is invalid. So I "log on as another user" and enter my normal email and password and it works fine. How can I change the password on my pc? | Guest

| Greetings John, To change it on your PC, click Start, then Control Panel, then User Accounts, click the current Windows XP account that you're logged in under, then click "Change my .NET Passport", choose the "Use a Different Passport" button and go through the wizard. ____________________________________________ Jonathan Kay Microsoft MVP - Windows Messenger/MSN Messenger Associate Expert http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/ Messenger Resources - http://messenger.jonathankay.com All posts unless otherwise specified are (c) 2004 Jonathan Kay.
