The "remember password" section of Outlook & Outlook
Express are "greyed out."
How do I fix this?

The above also applies to Internet Explorer and other applications that use
the Protected Storage System Provider registry key to store passwords.

Are you copying and pasting or actually typing in the passwords. IE will
not save passwords unless they are typed into the box.

In the user name field, push the down arrow. Then down arrow to the user
name, hit the delete key and confirm yes if asked.
Or to delete all, tools, internet options, Content tab, under Personal
Information click AutoComplete Settings, then Clear Passwords.

They are site sensitive. Go to the sites of the corresponding password in
the dropdown list, then select that password from the list at the
appropriate site, hit delete on your keyboard, type in the new password and
press enter. You should receive a message asking if you wish to replace the
old password with this password, answer yes.

The other way to do this is to clear all passwords but then you will have no
remembered passwords and have to start over at all sites. In Internet
Explorer go to tools, select Internet Options, go to Content tab, click
AutoComplete and click Clear Passwords.
