| You can't make anything with Movie Maker that will play in a DVD player. You'll need some other third party software to do that. You might find some suggestions at www.papajohn.org -Bob <anonymous@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:7c9201c3b489$50dbb0c0$a601280a@phx.gbl... Quote:

| Just movies. But you can take your movies and use other software to burn discs from them. See the CD Burning section of www.papajohn.org to see what others are using. PapaJohn <anonymous@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:7c9201c3b489$50dbb0c0$a601280a@phx.gbl... Quote:

| If your "movie" consists entirely of photos, you might consider software more tailored for creating "slide shows". Microsoft's recent update to Plus! Digital Media Edition supports creating a VCD which will playback in many (most?) "recent" DVD players. There are also several third-party packages available for less than $50, see http://papajohn.org for details. MyDVD from Sonic might be a good option for WMM2 users as it supports WMA files for background music. If you don't want background music (just the pictures), you can create a HighMAT/image CD directly from Windows XP using the "HighMATT Extension for Windows® XP CD-Writing Wizard" from http://highmat.com. HighMAT/image CDs will playback in some newer stand-alone DVD players from manufacturs like Panasonic and Samsung. Finally note that "Photo CD" (or "Picture CD") generally refers to a specific CD format supported by Kodak. Some stand-alone DVD players support this format directly. | Photo CD's are not produced by Movie Maker 2...period. Only High Mat. As regards to Mr. Smith, I do hope you have the best anti-virus software on your system. As far as who do I think I am...I think you know by now. I am the person who told him he is Off-Topic. OK !! and as far as your reply is concerned that too is off topic, it has nothing to do with Movie Maker. If you want to debate, go somewhere else..OK ? -- Best Wishes.........John Kelly www.the-kellys.org --- Please Note : DO NOT reply by e-mail unless invited to do so. ---- God grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked anyway, the good fortune to run into the ones I do, and the eyesight to tell the difference. | Guest

| I have been reading and contributing to this newsgroup for quite some time, and I have noticed thay MANY of your posts are WAY OFF TOPIC. Everything from posting very personal messages to individuals, to internet security, to newsgroup etiquitte, to simply bashing people for asking a question or offering a response that YOU deemed to be off-topic or inappropriate. I usually only reply to posts when I think I have some helpful advice to offer, but in your case I made an exception (after restraining myself on several other occasions). Feel free to get in the last word if you care to, as I will not respond any more to your nonsense. -Bob "John Kelly" <dead_letters@the-kellys.org> wrote in message news:#Vzt02xuDHA.2520@TK2MSFTNGP10.phx.gbl... | Hi there, I deem nothing at all. Please read my reply to Papajohn on this subject..it talks of rules that Microsoft subscribe to that exist in all newsgroups. If you find that difficult...sorry I can't help you. With regards to personal messages to individuals. The one post made was a mistake. I asked Papajohn to help by having it deleted, but it still got sent out. You will find a reference in the Netiquette rules I posted to Papajohn today, a reference to people making petty remarks about mistakes...so even your type of comment is considered OFF-TOPIC. I'm not certain, but I think the rule says juvenile. Mr Smith was criticized by me, which I have every right to do, for continuously posting an almost identical set of messages. It is against the rules...period. If you do not like the rules, then join the organization that makes them and try and get it changed...I wish you luck I am pleased that you will not respond..to do so is Off-Topic as is this. | Guest

| Hello Bob, I have just realized that I was a total fool, in not asking you to fully read my remarks to Mr. Smith on the subject of being Off-Topic, as he quite often is. In your exuberant haste to defend Mr. Smith, you failed to read the message that was tacked on to the bottom of mine telling him to stop it. By the way, I am having quite a chuckle here at your own haste. So, as far as being very arrogant as you put it is concerned, I am not a total idiot...I DO read the full message before jumping in with both feet. So who the hell are you to tell me what to do or not to do anyway, you do not even realise what you are commenting on....and now we move on to the other remark...Lighten Up and Get a Life...Mr. Bob, you are as the RFC rules label you, a complete immature beginner, who had better watch his mouth in the future. Try reading the message that caused your jump into the foray, and shut up until such time as you know what you are talking about. And if you do not know what the above is..its called Hate Mail, Users like you are warned by the RFC rules that you will get such hate mail when you break the rules 9in the way you have. and as you were so free with your estimate of me......you're not worth it -- Best Wishes.........John Kelly www.the-kellys.org --- Please Note : DO NOT reply by e-mail unless invited to do so. ---- God grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked anyway, the good fortune to run into the ones I do, and the eyesight to tell the difference. | Guest
