Photo Story 3 Screen Too Small

Posted: 07-27-2008, 12:14 AM
I created some stories using Photo Story 3 without any problems.
Later, when I wanted to edit the stories, the Photo Story 3 screen
size was so small I couldn't make out the thumbnails, and even the
large, single picture was too small to read any text that had been
placed on it.

Something has changed from the time I first used Photo Story. I did
play around with the folder view options in Windows XP Pro SP3, but
don't know how that would have made the screen size smaller. I did
not change the pixel size of my 19" Dell monitor. It is still 1280 X
1024 like it has always been. On my 19" monitor, the Photo Story
screen is 8-1/4" by 6", so it is only using 28% of the monitor screen.
The thumbnails are 9/16" X 3/8". Just way too small to be useful. How
can I increase the screen size of the program? I know from other
readings that full screen is not possible with Photo Story 3.

The only method I'm aware of to increase
the screen size of PhotoStory is to reduce
your computer's Screen Resolution.

Another thought...

Maybe you could figure a way to use the Screen Magnifier.

Turn On and Use Magnifier

Thanks. My screen resolution has remained unchanged, even though the
Photo Story screen size did get smaller. Here's another clue - A
friend of mine, who got me started using Photo Story, suggested that I
uninstall the program and reinstall it. However, when I go to the
Add/Remove programs in the Control Panel, there is no button to remove
the program. Just tells me that it is used frequently. Something
appears to be corrupted re the installation. How can I uninstall it
and start over?

If PhotoStory works and the only problem
is the screen size I would suspect that
you may have system issues with your
computer. Have you noticed anything odd
with any of your other programs?

If PS3 is not listed in Add-Remove programs...
try reinstalling it. If that fails...you may want
to do a System Restore to a time before
you first installed it.

Good luck finding the solution.
