| Doing some long overdue archiving, I find that some of my jpgs cause an 'error reading file' message when I try to open them in PhotoEditor even though they open fine in Picture and fax Viewer and Photoshop Elements. At a first guess, it seems to be pictures from a Canon Powershot A630 that have *not* been edited in PhotoshopE that are failing to be read by PhotoEditor. Somehow I would have expected any problem to be found with those that *had* been modified by a different programme, rather than this way round. Check this with a fresh picture from the camera, and PhotoEditor will not open them. Don't know why I've not noticed this before: possibly because I usually use my Sony camera which does not give this problem. Is it perhaps the Canon 'properties' data sheet that is incompatible with PhotoEditor but is understood by PElements? Cheers, S | Guest
