photos not deleting

i can't delete the files which are to be written onto CD-RW in the CD-RW (E
drive, i had already burnt them onto the CD but they aren't deleting from the
folder. it comes up with the message that it's in use, but it can't possible
because all i did was transfer it straight from the folder to which i scanned
it. thanks
